I realize that most of us live on the skin - on the surface - without appreciating just how wonderful it is simply to be alive at all.

I don’t know if you’ve ever felt like that. That you wanted to sleep for a thousand years. Or just not exist. Or just not be aware that you do exist. Or something like that. I think wanting that is very morbid, but I want it when I get like this. That’s why I’m trying not to think. I just want it all to stop spinning.

Do you ever look at a picture of yourself and see a stranger in the background? Makes you wonder how many strangers have pictures of you. How many moments of other people’s lives have we been in? Were we a part of someone’s life when their dreams came true? Or were we there when their dreams died? Did we keep trying to get in as is if we were somehow destined to be there? Or did the shot take us by surprise? Just think. You could be a big part of someone else’s life and not even know it.

So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I’m still trying to figure out how that could be.

All of these lines across my face tell you the story of who I am.
So many stories of where I’ve been and how I got to where I am.
But these stories don’t mean anything when you’ve got no one to tell them to.
It’s true. I was made for you.
